Admission and Visa Process for International Students

Before your arrival to New Zealand, you must have obtained a student visa from the New Zeeland mission in your country.

After your studies, you need to apply for a visa to work, and it has to be approved. There are two types of post-work visas:

  • Post-Study Work Visa: This visa gives you the privilege of looking for work in your related discipline. You have 12 calendar months to look for a job. While you are searching for the right job, you can source for any available menial job and use it to support yourself.
  • Post-Study Work Visa (Employer Assisted): This type of visa enables you to live and work in New Zealand for a period of two years in your related field of study.

Part-Time Job Opportunities

If you are studying a professional course like law, you might be allowed to be working in law firms. This will help you in enhancing your knowledge and skills, but it is not compulsory.
