Simón Bolívar University
Simón Bolívar University (USB) is a public university in Venezuela founded in 1967. It is one of the most prestigious universities in Venezuela and one of the most important in South America. The university is divided into two campuses, one in the state of Miranda and the other in the state of Vargas.
USB's first campus was located in the Sartenejas Valley in Caracas. In 1977, the university opened a second campus in the Camurí Grande Valley in Vargas. In 1970, USB began offering undergraduate programs in engineering and science. In 1977, the university began offering graduate programs.
