Armenian National Agrarian University

Armenian National Agrarian University (ANAU) (Armenian: Հայաստանի Ազգային Ագրարային Համալսարան, ՀԱԱՀ), is a state university and higher educational institution based in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. The university trains and prepares specialists for the agricultural sphere.

Armenian National Agrarian University (ANAU) was founded in 1930 as the Agricultural Institute of the Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic. In 1994, the Institute was restructured to form ANAU as a result of the merger with the Yerevan Zoo-technical Veterinary Institute and the Armenian Agricultural Academy. ANAU is one of the leading agricultural universities in the Caucasus region. It offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs in agriculture, veterinary medicine, food science, and related fields. ANAU also has a strong research focus, with a number of scientific institutes and laboratories. ANAU is a member of a number of international organizations, including the European Association of Agricultural Universities and the Association of Agricultural Universities of the Commonwealth of Independent States. ANAU has a student body of over 5,000 students, including a significant number of international students.
