Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) is a national research university located in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei.

Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) was established in 1985, opening its doors to the first intake of 176 students. The university was founded with the vision of becoming a leading institution of higher learning in the region and beyond.

In the early years, UBD faced a number of challenges, including a lack of infrastructure and resources. However, the university quickly grew and developed, thanks to the support of the Brunei government and the dedication of its staff and students.

In 1995, UBD moved to its current location, Tungku Link. The new campus was designed to provide a conducive environment for learning and research.

UBD has also grown its academic programs and research output significantly over the years. The university now offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various disciplines. UBD is also home to a number of research centers and institutes that conduct cutting-edge research in a variety of fields.
