China Medical University

China Medical University in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, holds a unique place in Chinese medical history, founded in 1931.  CMU has the distinction of being the first medical school established by the Chinese Communist Party. Its predecessor, the Chinese Workers'-Peasants' Red Army Military Medical School and Health School, was founded in Ruijin, Jiangxi during that same year. This revolutionary institution played a crucial role in providing medical care and training during the Chinese Civil War.

CMU's early years were marked by resilience and innovation. With limited resources, the school focused on practical medical education to serve the needs of the Red Army and the surrounding communities. Over the decades, CMU has flourished. Today, it boasts a sprawling campus equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including numerous teaching hospitals and research centers.

CMU fosters a dynamic learning environment. Students live and learn alongside peers from across China and the globe. The university offers a diverse range of extracurricular activities, from student clubs and organizations to sports teams and artistic pursuits. Lush green spaces and recreational facilities provide opportunities for relaxation and social interaction outside of academics.

CMU's motto, which may translate to "dedication to serving the people's health," serves as a constant reminder of the university's core mission. This philosophy permeates every aspect of the educational experience, inspiring students to become compassionate and skilled medical professionals.

CMU remains dedicated to pushing the boundaries of medical knowledge. The university actively encourages cutting-edge research and collaboration with international institutions. With a focus on areas like biotechnology and advanced medical technologies, CMU strives to be at the forefront of healthcare advancements. As CMU embraces the future, its commitment to excellence ensures its continued role as a leader in Chinese medical education and a significant contributor to global healthcare progress.
