Huazhong University of Science and Technology

Huazhong University of Science and Technology resides as a prestigious national research university in Wuhan which serves as the Hubei Province capital city of China. The merger combined three institutions: Huazhong University of Science and Technology which existed from 1952 under that name, Tongji Medical University which began as a medical college established by German doctor Erich Paulun in 1907, and Wuhan Urban Construction Institute. The university evolved into a complete educational institution when it united three fields of study which included engineering medicine and urban development.
