In 1956, a seed was sown in Qingdao, China, with the establishment of a specialized institute catering to the needs of the burgeoning Light Industry sector. This institute, the foundation of what would become a prominent university, marked the beginning of a rich and dynamic history. Over two decades later, in 1978, the institute recognized its expanding scope and transformed into Qingdao Technological University.
