Yangzhou University is a key comprehensive public university in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province, China.

This university's roots run deeper than its official founding in 1992. Its story begins in the early 20th century with the establishment of two key institutions: a teachers' college and an agricultural school. These institutions laid the groundwork for specialized education and would later become cornerstones of the university.

Over the following decades, the educational landscape in the region flourished. New colleges emerged, focusing on various disciplines like medicine, engineering, water conservancy, and commerce.
