Egypt Japan University of Science & Technology

The Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) is a research university with a Japanese partnership, established by Presidential Decree No. 177. It is located in New Borg El-Arab City in Alexandria, Egypt.

The history of the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) dates back to 2009, when the bilateral agreement to establish the university was signed between the governments of Egypt and Japan. In May 2009, Presidential Decree No. 149 was issued to establish the university.

E-JUST was founded with the aim of serving human development in Egypt, the Arab region, and Africa. It was also intended to be a model for a pioneering Egyptian university based on the effective partnership between Egypt and Japan.

In 2010, E-JUST admitted its first cohort of students. The university initially offered postgraduate programs in engineering and science, but it has since expanded to offer undergraduate programs as well.

E-JUST has grown rapidly since its inception. In 2013, it inaugurated its Joint Japanese Supporting University Office. In 2014, Prof. Ahmed El Gohary was assigned as E-JUST President, and Amb. Fayza Aboulnaga became the new Chairperson of the Board of Trustees.

In 2017, E-JUST graduated its first batch of PhD students. The university has since graduated thousands of students, who have gone on to successful careers in industry and academia.

E-JUST is now a leading university in Egypt and the Arab region. It is known for its high academic standards, its focus on research, and its international outlook.

E-JUST is a young university, but it has already made a significant impact on the educational landscape in Egypt and the Arab region. It is well-positioned to continue to grow and develop in the years to come.
