Mashhad University of Medical Sciences (MUMS) is a public medical university in Mashhad, Iran.

The history of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences (MUMS) can be traced back to 1941, when the first four-year health college in the country was founded in Mashhad. The college's sole mission was to educate students and dispatch them to rural areas where access to medical care was desperately needed.

In 1949, the college was upgraded to the Faculty of Medicine of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. This was a significant step forward in the development of medical education in the region.
