Universities in Kuwait
Kuwait is continuously improving the quality of her education system, and the ministry of education is doing everything possible to include women into the system. About 25% of her population is currently in the tertiary institutions. They have 10 universities; 8 state-run universities, while 2 are private universities. The official language used in communication and instruction is Arabic. The number of foreign students presently enjoying the high standard of education is over 17,000. After graduation, citizens can search for jobs in any industry or ministry, while foreign students need work permit before they are required to work. The only exception is on-campus employment, and health care students who may get involved in an unpaid practicum or internship.
