Université Libano-Canadienne

Université Libano-Canadienne, commonly referred to as the Lebanese Canadian University (LCU), is a private university based in Aintoura, Keserwan, Mount Lebanon. Being overseen and accredited by the Lebanese Ministry of Education and Higher Education, this university provides both undergraduate and graduate programs that combine the academic framework of North America with the requirements of the labor market in the region. Most of the courses offered by the university are provided at key faculties such as Business Administration, Arts & Sciences, and Humanities, while another campus of the institution is located in Hadat-Beirut. The foundation of this university can be dated back to 2000, when it was founded under the name of École Supérieure et Internationale de Gestion (ESIG).

After continued success and growth of the institution’s academic offerings and infrastructures, the organization strategically transformed into Lebanese Canadian University in 2007 through presidential decree. Over the course of time, LCU formed strategic collaborations with prominent institutions and universities especially from Canada and France (including Université du Québec à Montréal and the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie) for purposes of facilitating student exchange programs, double degrees, and other forms of collaboration.  Currently, Université Libano-Canadienne acts as a dynamic center of education that aims at developing professional skills and leadership abilities. Thanks to the small size of classes, hands-on learning, and flexible program tracks, the university prepares its students for the challenges of today’s global market. Through promotion of cultural diversity, ongoing development of programs, and research-based education, LCU contributes to the development of Lebanon’s higher education sphere.
