Université Libano-Française de Technologie et de Sciences Appliquées

Université Libano-Française, which is known officially by the name of Université Libano-Française de Technologie et de Sciences Appliquées, is a private non-profit higher education institution based in Tripoli, North Lebanon. Running under the authority of the Lebanese Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the university provides accredited undergraduate and graduate programs in engineering, technology, business administration, arts and humanities. Being developed in cooperation with French universities, ULF applies European credit transfer systems along with flexible learning systems. With its main campus in Tripoli and other academic campuses such as the one in Mount Lebanon, the institution specializes in offering accessible vocational education tailored to the needs of the labor market.

The university came into existence in 1996 after a joint effort by Lebanese scholars and French universities with an aim to create a technology-based institution in Northern Lebanon. The university got formal recognition from the Lebanese government through a presidential decree in 1996, making it authorized to offer degrees of higher education. Over the time, ULF has increased its range of degrees through joint efforts of many French universities, thereby allowing students to pursue dual degrees, faculty members exchange programs, and joint research projects.

Université Libano-Française de Technologie et de Sciences Appliquées has continued to be actively involved in the higher education and economy of Northern Lebanon. Through its practical approach to learning, mastery of languages like French and English, and industry-specific training, this university equips its students for successful integration into the workforce either locally or abroad.
