Université Saint-Esprit de Kaslik

Université Saint-Esprit de Kaslik, also known as the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, is a private Catholic educational institution based in Jounieh, Mount Lebanon. It was founded by the Order of the Lebanese Maronites (OLM) and operates on the authority of the Lebanese Ministry of Education and Higher Education. USEK provides a great variety of recognized programs leading to the bachelor, master and doctoral degrees in such fields as business, engineering, medicine, humanities, fine arts and law. USEK is based on the American system of credits and provides international institutional accreditations with great attention being paid to academic achievements, technology, culture and social issues on the lively campus.

USEK was established as a scholasticate for the theological and philosophical education in 1938 by the Order of the Lebanese Maronites (OLM). In response to the growing number of offered courses, it was finally awarded with the status of a university in 1961 by the Lebanese government. During the following decades USEK constructed new buildings for specialized research centers and regional teaching campuses in Zahle, Chekka, and Rmeich. In today’s time, Université Saint-Esprit de Kaslik is one of the most prominent universities and cultural centers in Lebanon as well as the larger Levant area. In this way, by means of modern clinical simulation labs, research facilities, and international exchange programs, the organization equips its students with the necessary skills to be successful in the global world. Moreover, because of its strong dedication towards the preservation of Eastern Christian tradition, civic engagement, and sustainable community development, USEK remains a very important institution for the region.
