Université Sainte Famille

Université Sainte Famille (Holy Family University), is a private, non-profit Catholic university situated in Batroun, North Lebanon. Established under the patronage of the Congregation of the Franciscan Sisters of the Cross and recognized by the Lebanese Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the university offers accredited Bachelor's and Master's degrees mainly in the field of health sciences, nursing, education, and business. Upholding the humanistic values of the Christianity, the university fosters comprehensive education in terms of moral, professional, intellectual and societal development of the students.

Initially founded and established as a higher education institute in 2000, the USF university came into being because of the tradition and mission of the Franciscan Sisters of the Cross in Lebanon. It was established due to the increasing demands for high quality higher education in North Lebanon governorate, especially in the field of health sciences and nursing. Official university status was given to the USF by Lebanese presidential decree in 2009. This allowed the university to enlarge its faculties, equip modern clinical laboratories, and build up partnerships with hospitals and health centers in the area. Université Sainte Famille will still continue to play a key role as an important academic and social center in North Lebanon by ensuring that the best healthcare, educational, and business professionals emerge from the institution.
