National University of Sciences & Technology

National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) is a multi-campus public research university with its main campus in Islamabad, Pakistan.

The National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) was established in March 1991 as a model university to promote higher education in Pakistan, especially in the fields of science and technology. It was initially formed for the need of commissioned officers by combining engineering colleges and schools. Later, it was converted into a public research university with the main campus setup in Islamabad.

The first college to be affiliated with NUST was the Military College of Signals (MCS) in 1992. In 1993, the university was granted a charter and the College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (CEME) and the Military College of Engineering (MCE) became part of the university.

NUST is a leading research university in Pakistan. Its faculty and students are involved in a variety of cutting-edge research projects, and the university has received over $100 million in research funding in recent years.
