Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University (IAU), formerly known as the University of Dammam, is a public university in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. It is one of the oldest and leading universities in medicine in the country's Eastern Province.

Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University (IAU) was founded in 1975 with two colleges: the College of Medicine and the College of Architecture. Both male and female students have been enrolled at the University since its inception.

In the early years, IAU operated from temporary facilities in Dammam. However, in 1982, the University moved to its permanent campus in Al-Rakah, a coastal area between Dammam and Khobar.

Over the years, IAU has grown rapidly and expanded its academic offerings. In 2016, the University was renamed Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University in honor of Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal Al Saud, the founder of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

IAU is a highly selective university, and students must meet strict academic requirements to be admitted. However, the University offers a number of scholarships and financial aid programs to help students from all backgrounds afford to attend.
