Cornerstone Christian College

Cornerstone Christian College is located in Cape Town, South Africa.

Founded in 1970 at the height of apartheid in South Africa, Cornerstone Institute emerged from a time of great social and racial injustice. Back then, known as the Cape Evangelical Bible Institute, it aimed to fill a critical gap. Aspiring Black theologians were denied access to theological education at mainstream universities due to the oppressive laws of the regime. Cornerstone Institute stepped in, providing a vital pathway for theological education and empowering marginalized communities through faith-based leadership.

Cornerstone Institute operates as an independent, non-profit higher education institution. Their mission emphasizes teaching and learning that serves others, aiming to advance human dignity and social justice for all.
