Chulalongkorn University

Chulalongkorn University is the oldest and most prestigious university in Thailand.
The history of Chulalongkorn University can be traced back to 1899, when King Chulalongkorn founded the Civil Service Training School. The school was designed to train civil servants in the modern methods of government that were being introduced into Thailand at the time.
In 1902, the school was renamed the Royal Pages School, and its curriculum was expanded to include a wider range of subjects, including languages, mathematics, and science. The school also began to offer a limited number of courses to the public.
In 1917, King Vajiravudh, King Chulalongkorn's son, renamed the Royal Pages School Chulalongkorn University. The university was initially granted the status of a civil service college, but it was soon expanded to offer a wider range of academic programs.
In the 1920s and 1930s, Chulalongkorn University grew rapidly. New faculties and schools were established, and the university began to offer graduate programs. The university also began to develop its research capabilities.
During World War II, Chulalongkorn University was forced to close for a period of time. However, the university reopened after the war, and it continued to grow and develop.
In the 1960s and 1970s, Chulalongkorn University became a leading center for research and teaching in Thailand. The university also began to play a more active role in social and political issues.
Today, Chulalongkorn University is one of the most prestigious universities in Asia. The university is known for its academic excellence, research output, and commitment to social responsibility.
