King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) is a public research university in Thailand.

The history of King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) can be traced back to 1960, when it was founded as the Nonthaburi Institute of Telecommunications with the technical support of the Japanese government. The institute was established to meet the growing demand for skilled telecommunications technicians in Thailand.

In 1969, the institute was renamed the Ladkrabang Institute of Technology and moved to its current campus in the Lat Krabang district of Bangkok. The institute continued to grow and expand its curriculum, and in 1971, it was merged with two other technical colleges to form King Mongkut's Institute of Technology (KMUTT).

KMITL was granted university status in 1991, and has since become one of the leading universities in Thailand for science and technology.
