Rajamangala University of Technology Isan

Rajamangala University of Technology Isan is a public university in Thailand.

Rajamangala University of Technology Isan (RMUTI) boasts a rich history rooted in royal benevolence. Its story begins in 1984 with the establishment of the Institute of Technology Vocational Education (ITVE) under the patronage of King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Recognizing the need for quality vocational education, the King himself bestowed the name "Rajamangala Institute of Technology" in 1988, signifying its status as a technological institute graced by the royal blessing.

This name reflects the deep respect and appreciation the RMUTI community holds for the King's vision.  In its early years, ITVE focused on providing practical science education at the degree level.  This emphasis on practical skills continues to be a hallmark of RMUTI's educational philosophy.  In 2005, ITVE's dedication to excellence was rewarded when it was granted full university status, officially becoming Rajamangala University of Technology Isan.

RMUTI offers a dynamic campus life spread across five campuses in northeastern Thailand – Nakhon Ratchasima, Khon Kaen, Sakon Nakhon, Surin, and Roi Et (establishing). This unique multi-campus structure allows students to experience the rich cultural tapestry of Isan while pursuing their academic goals. Each campus fosters a sense of community, providing student clubs, organizations, and activities that cater to diverse interests. From academic societies to sports teams and cultural clubs, students have ample opportunities to explore their passions and develop leadership skills. The campuses also host various events and festivals throughout the year, creating a vibrant and enriching atmosphere that goes beyond academics.

Rajamangala University of Technology Isan's motto, "Wisdom for Life, Technology for Development," reflects its core values and mission.  "Wisdom for Life" emphasizes the importance of not just acquiring knowledge, but also developing the ability to apply it effectively and ethically.
