Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University

Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University is a public university in Thailand under the Royal Patronage of King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University (VRU) boasts a rich history rooted in the vision of a royal princess. Founded in 1932 by Her Royal Highness Somdetch Phra Raja Pituchha Chao Fa Valaya Alongkorn, Krom Luang, VRU was established with a specific focus on educating young Thai women. Driven by a deep concern for their development, HRH Princess Valaya Alongkorn donated land to the Ministry of Education, leading to the establishment of Petchburiwittay Alongkorn Teacher Training School on June 4, 1932. This act marked the beginning of a long and illustrious journey for VRU.

Over the years, the university underwent a series of name changes, reflecting its evolving stature. In 1999, it transitioned from a teacher training school to Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat Institute. Finally, in 2004, it earned its current designation as a full-fledged university, solidifying its position as a premier institution of higher learning in Thailand.

VRU extends beyond the realm of academics, fostering a dynamic and enriching campus life for its students. The university boasts a beautiful campus located in Pathum Thani province, just north of Bangkok. The verdant surroundings provide a serene environment conducive to learning and personal growth. VRU actively encourages students to participate in a diverse range of extracurricular activities and organizations. These opportunities allow students to explore their interests, develop valuable skills, and forge lifelong friendships.

VRU's motto, "Wisdom Morality Leadership," serves as a guiding light for its students and faculty. The emphasis on wisdom underscores the university's commitment to nurturing intellectual curiosity and critical thinking. Morality is placed at the forefront, reminding students of the importance of ethical conduct and social responsibility. Finally, leadership is instilled, empowering students to become future changemakers and contribute meaningfully to society.

As VRU looks towards the horizon, it does so with unwavering confidence. The university is committed to continuous improvement, striving to offer its students the most up-to-date programs and resources. VRU envisions itself as a leader in Thailand's educational landscape, producing graduates who are not only well-equipped for their chosen professions but also imbued with a strong sense of social responsibility and a commitment to ethical conduct.
