Canadian University Dubai is one of Dubai's best-known private universities located in the centre of Dubai's City Walk area, United Arab Emirates. CUD was created to be a gateway to Canadian higher education in a rapidly growing, culturally rich context - the Gulf region - based on the Canadian curriculum. It has a lively campus and an international population representing over 120 nationalities. CUD is one of the leading institutions in Dubai and has an outstanding academic reputation, consistently being ranked at the top of both regional and international universities for its high-quality education and commitment to student success.

CUD was established in 2006 as Centennial University of Dubai as the result of a partnership between Centennial College and Athabasca University (Canada). With the high-profile support of the Chancellor, Mr. Buti Saeed Al Ghandi and the President, Prof. Karim Chelli, CUD is dedicated to establishing world-class North American educational standards in Dubai. CUD has undergone major changes, evolving into an independent institution and its name changed from Centennial University of Dubai to Canadian University Dubai. More recently CUD has moved to a new state-of-the-art campus in City Walk, which has become a real game changer for the university's evolution and potential.

Based on the QS World University Rankings of 2026, Canadian University of Dubai is positioned as the #604 top university in the world, which makes it the #10 top university in United Arab Emirates. The university's global rank decreased by 81 points from last year.
