University of Oxford

The University of Oxford, usually referred to simply as Oxford, is located in Oxford, England, and is the oldest English-speaking University in the world. The actual founding date is not known, but it is believed that the university grew significantly in the mid-1100s when English students were prohibited by Henry II from studying at the University of Paris.

Today, Oxford is considered to be the second-oldest university in the world. It is the location of the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship, which brings students from all over the world to conduct postgraduate work.
