Technical University of Angola

Technical University of Angola, commonly referred to by its acronym UTANGA, is a distinguished private higher education institution situated in the metropolis of Luanda. The institution operates as a non-profit organization which the Ministry of Higher Education Science Technology and Innovation officially recognizes for maintaining academic excellence. The university operates its main campus through Campus Joaquim Pessoa which exists in the Kilamba Kiaxi district as an educational facility that combines theoretical instruction with hands-on experience. The institution functions as a contemporary educational establishment which serves as a vital center for training and intellectual growth in the capital city while driving both social development and economic development throughout the country.

The Council of Ministers established the university through Decree No. 29/07 which formally recognized the institution on May 7 2007 as a turning point for private higher education development in post-war Angola. The organization SAPANGUELE Trade and Industry Ltd established the institution to create an educational center which would address the urgent need for skilled professionals in technical and scientific fields. The institution has developed its facilities to accommodate the increasing needs of its students since it first opened its doors. The university has built its status as a growing educational institution which aims to compete with the leading university programs in the country through its dedication to maintaining high standards and developing innovative teaching methods.
