Jagannath University (JnU) is a highly regarded public university located in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The story of Jagannath University stretches back to 1858, nestled within the broader history of Bangladesh and Bengal. Its earliest chapter began as a humble "Brahma School", inspired by Raja Ram Mohan Roy's Brahmo Samaj movement. In 1872, it took on the name of Jagannath School, honoring the Zamindar Kishorilal Chowdhury's father.
