Kumudini Women's Medical College's story is deeply intertwined with the Kumudini Welfare Trust, a beacon of women's education and healthcare founded in the late 1930s by Rai Bahadur Ranada Prasad Shaha. However, a dream simmered within him – a vision of a future where women held the power to heal.

This dream finally blossomed in 2001 when the doors of Kumudini Women's Medical College swung open, nestled within the serene 130-acre Kumudini Complex in Tangail. This wasn't just a medical school; it was a testament to Ranada Prasad Shaha's enduring legacy and a promise to empower women by equipping them with the knowledge and skills to become skilled and dedicated doctors.

KWMC started its journey with a single, unwavering mission: to offer women a pathway to excellence in medicine. Since then, the college has strived for continuous improvement, expanding its curriculum and facilities to encompass the latest advancements in medical education.
