Pabna Textile Engineering College (PTEC) is a government educational institution located in Pabna, Bangladesh.
In 1915, amidst the bustling textile scene of Bangladesh, Pabna Textile Engineering College first emerged as the humble Pabna Government Weaving School. Affiliated with the Serampore Weaving Institute in India, it offered foundational skills in weaving, design, and yarn calculations.
As the decades passed, its ambitions grew, mirroring the nation's burgeoning textile industry. In 1964, it shed its introductory role and transformed into the Pabna Textile Institute, equipped to offer a two-year certificate course. Yet, its thirst for advancement wasn't quenched. In 1995, driven by a desire to equip students for ever-evolving fields, it transformed yet again, becoming the Pabna Textile Engineering College and launching a prestigious three-year diploma in Textile Engineering.
Finally, in 2002, it reached its ultimate form, proudly adopting the Bachelor of Science in Textile Engineering degree program, solidifying its place as a premier institution, shaping the future of Bangladesh's textile industry.
