Ghent University

Ghent University is a public research university located in Ghent, Belgium.

Ghent University was founded in 1816 by King William I of the Netherlands. It was the second university to be founded in Belgium, after the University of Louvain. The university was initially located in the former Jesuit college in Ghent, but it moved to its current campus in 1830.
