State University of Campinas

The State University of Campinas (Portuguese: Universidade Estadual de Campinas), commonly called Unicamp, is a public research university in the state of São Paulo, Brazil.

The history of the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) dates back to the early 1960s, when a group of intellectuals and business leaders in the city of Campinas began to advocate for the creation of a new university in the region.
