Shangrao Normal University is a teacher's college in Shangrao, Jiangxi Province, China.

The university's roots trace back to 1958, when it began its journey as a teacher's college. This initial incarnation marked the beginning of a long tradition of nurturing educators.  However, the path wasn't always smooth. The following year, the institution underwent a name change to Northeastern Jiangxi University. Unfortunately, the turmoil of the Cultural Revolution forced its closure. With the approval of the Ministry of Education and the Jiangxi provincial government in 2000, the institution received its current name. This milestone signified a new era of growth and recognition.
