Southeast University

Southeast University is a prestigious public university under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education of China.

This prestigious university's roots run deep, tracing back to 1902 with the establishment of Sanjiang Normal College. This marked the humble beginnings of what would become a leading academic institution.  In 1921, it underwent a significant transformation, evolving into National Southeast University, and securing its position as the second national university in China. Just a few years later, in 1928, it was renamed National Central University, solidifying its status as the nation's flagship university at the time. The university's journey continued to unfold, experiencing a period of flux throughout the 20th century. It underwent several name changes, including National Fourth Sun Yat-sen University, Jiangsu University, and National Nanjing University. In 1988, it finally assumed its current moniker, Southeast University, a name rich with history and reflecting its enduring legacy.
