Yuncheng University is a comprehensive university located in Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province, China.

The roots of this public university in Yuncheng City, China, stretch back to 1978 with the establishment of the Yuncheng Advanced Training College. This marked the beginning of a journey that would transform it into a comprehensive university. A pivotal moment arrived in December 1989 when a significant merger took place. Yuncheng Teachers College, Yuncheng Education College, and Hedong University joined forces, creating a more robust institution. This consolidation marked the birth of the university in its current form.
