Université Officielle de Bukavu

The Université Officielle de Bukavu (UOB) is a public university in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, located in the province of South Kivu, city of Bukavu.

The history of the Université Officielle de Bukavu (UOB) can be traced back to the 1980s, when the Catholic Church established the Centre Universitaire de Bukavu (CUB) in 1989. The CUB was initially a private institution, but it was transferred to the Congolese government in 2006 and became the UOB.
