Tallinn University

Tallinn University is a public research university in Tallinn, Estonia.

The history of Tallinn University can be traced back to 1919, when it was founded as the Tallinn Higher Technical School. The school was initially focused on engineering and technology, but it expanded its offerings over the years to include other disciplines such as the humanities and social sciences.

In 1992, the school was renamed Tallinn University. This change reflected the university's growing focus on research and its commitment to becoming a world-class institution of higher education.

In 2005, Tallinn University merged with several other universities and research institutions in Tallinn, including the Estonian Institute of Humanities, the Institute of History, and the Baltic Film and Media School. This merger created one of the largest and most comprehensive universities in Estonia.
