Binus University

Binus University is one of the leading private universities in Indonesia.

The history of Binus University can be traced back to 1974, when it was founded as Modern Computer Course, a short-term computer training institute. In 1981, the institute was expanded and renamed Computer Engineering Academy (ATK), offering a three-year diploma program in Informatics Management.

In 1985, ATK was renamed AMIK Bina Nusantara, and in 1986, it was upgraded to Sekolah Tinggi Manajemen Informatika dan Komputer (STMIK) Bina Nusantara, offering a four-year undergraduate program in Information Management and Computer Science.

In 1993, STMIK Bina Nusantara opened the first Masters program in Information System Management in Indonesia.

In 1996, Binus University was officially established, merging STMIK Bina Nusantara and AMIK Bina Nusantara.

In 1998, Binus University opened its first campus outside of Jakarta, in Tangerang. Since then, the university has expanded to include campuses in Bandung, Semarang, and Bali.

Today, Binus University is one of the leading private universities in Indonesia, offering a wide range of programs at the diploma, undergraduate, masters, and doctoral levels. The university has a strong focus on technology and business, and its graduates are highly sought-after by employers in both sectors.
