Holy Spirit University of Kaslik
The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) is a private, non-profit, Catholic university in Jounieh, Lebanon.
The history of the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) dates back to 1938, when the Lebanese Maronite Order (OLM) founded a scholasticate in Kaslik, Lebanon. In 1950, the scholasticate was expanded to include new buildings and became a full-fledged university.
USEK was the first university in Lebanon to be established by Lebanese citizens. It was also the first university in Lebanon to offer undergraduate programs in engineering and architecture.
In the early years, USEK was primarily focused on educating priests and other religious personnel. However, over time, the university expanded its offerings to include a wider range of programs and student body.
Today, USEK is a leading university in Lebanon and the Arab world. It has played a significant role in the development of Lebanon. It has educated many of the country's leaders and professionals. The university is also a major center for research and innovation.
