Mohammed V University is a prestigious public university located in Rabat, Morocco.

Mohammed V University stands as a beacon of education in Morocco, its story intertwined with the nation's struggle for independence and its subsequent journey towards progress. Founded in 1957, just two years after Morocco gained its freedom from French rule, the university emerged as a symbol of hope and a testament to the country's aspirations for a brighter future.

The roots of Mohammed V University can be traced back to the establishment of the Scientific Institute in 1920, during the French protectorate.  After independence, the seeds sown by the Scientific Institute blossomed into Mohammed V University, named after the revered King who had led the fight for freedom.

The fledgling university quickly grew, encompassing diverse faculties like humanities, law, economics, and science. By 1993, its sprawling branches necessitated a division into two independent universities: Mohammed V University at Agdal and Mohammed V University at Souissi. Each campus carved its own niche, with Agdal specializing in humanities and social sciences, while Souissi focused on medicine, pharmacy, and dentistry.

Despite their separation, the two institutions remained bound by a shared legacy and purpose. In 2015, recognizing the strength in unity, Mohammed V University once again became a single entity, its two campuses complementing each other to create a comprehensive and vibrant academic landscape.

Today, Mohammed V University stands tall as a leading academic institution in Morocco and the Arab world.
