International University of Management (IUM) is a private, state-recognized university based in Windhoek, Namibia.

From a single student to a leading business school: The International University of Management (IUM) in Windhoek, Namibia, boasts a remarkable journey. Founded in 1993 as the Institute of Higher Education by Dr. David Richard Namwandi with just one professor and one student, it has blossomed into a prestigious institution shaping the country's future workforce.

Initially focused on business and management education through diploma and certificate programs, IUM gained official recognition in 1994. A pivotal moment came in 2002 when it achieved university status, marked by the launch by then-President Sam Nujoma. This paved the way for undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, solidifying IUM's position as a leading educational force.

Over the years, IUM has steadily expanded its reach, establishing campuses in Swakopmund, Walvis Bay, Ongwediva, and Nkurenkuru. Its curriculum has also diversified, encompassing fields like finance, human resources, marketing, and public policy.

International University of Management is ranked as the #3 top university in Namibia during 2025. This is the same rank as last year.
