Erasmus University Rotterdam

Erasmus University is located in Rotterdam, in the Netherlands. It's named after a 15th century theologian. Their acronym is EUR. They offer classes ranging from ecology, economics, genetics, health science, business, and communication to accounting and the arts. The college has more than 20,000 students.

Erasmus University was founded in 1913 but has only been in its current state since 1973. The Netherlands School of Commerce and the Netherlands School of Economics played a role in its early history. The school became the only one in the country’s history to be named after a person, rather than a state.

In 1939, the NHH was renamed the Netherlands School of Economics (Nederlandse Economische Hogeschool, or NEH). The NEH expanded its curriculum to include a wider range of economic and social science subjects. In 1966, the Medical Faculty Rotterdam was established as a separate institution.

In 1973, the NEH and the Medical Faculty Rotterdam merged to form Erasmus University Rotterdam. The university was named after Desiderius Erasmus Roterodamus, a 15th-century humanist and theologian who was born in Rotterdam. Erasmus was a strong advocate for education and learning, and he is considered to be one of the founding fathers of the Renaissance.

Since its founding, Erasmus University Rotterdam has grown to become one of the leading universities in the Netherlands and in Europe.

EUR is a highly international university, with over 30% of its student body coming from outside the Netherlands. It also has a strong network of partner universities around the world, which offers students many opportunities for international exchange and study abroad.

EUR is located in the heart of Rotterdam, a vibrant and cosmopolitan city. The university campus is modern and well-equipped, with a variety of facilities and amenities for students. EUR is also close to the city center, with its many shops, restaurants, and cultural attractions.
