University of Lahore

University of Lahore (UOL) is a private university located in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.

The University of Lahore was founded in 1999 by the IBADAT Educational Trust, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting education in Pakistan. The university was initially established as a college, but it was granted full degree awarding status in 2002.

UOL has grown rapidly since its inception and is now one of the largest private universities in Pakistan.

UOL has a strong focus on research and innovation. It has established two research centers, the Lahore Center for Research and Development (LCRD) and the Center for Excellence in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CENANO), which conduct research in a variety of areas including engineering, technology, medicine, and agriculture. UOL also has a number of technology parks which provide incubation and support services to startups and small businesses.

UOL is committed to providing its students with a well-rounded education and a supportive learning environment. The university has a number of student clubs and societies that cater to a wide range of interests. UOL also offers its students a variety of extracurricular activities, such as sports, arts, and cultural events.

University of Lahore is ranked as the #10 top university in Pakistan during 2025. This is the same rank as last year.
