Universities in Panama

Over 90% of the entire 54 million people are literate, and about 20% are currently in the higher institution. This is a small country with 30,000 square miles, and bordered by Colombia and Costa Rica. There are 19 public universities, 12 private universities, and more than 16,000 international students. There are many work opportunities, but keep in mind that studying here doesn't guarantee you must get a job here. Students are trained to master their fields of study, and set up their own establishments- thus, most students opts out or drop their studies at the middle of the program to pursue personal entrepreneurial goals.
