Stefan cel Mare University of Suceava

Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava (USV) is a public university in Suceava, Suceava County, Bukovina, northeastern Romania.

Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava (USV) was founded in 1990, but its history can be traced back to 1963, when the Institute of Pedagogy was founded in Suceava. The institute was initially a two-year institution, but it was expanded to a four-year institution in 1972.

In 1984, the institute was transformed into the Sub-Engineering Institute, subordinated to the Technical University of Iași. However, in 1990, the institute was renamed Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava and became an independent university.

The university continued to grow and expand in the 1990s and 2000s. In 1992, the Faculty of Law and Administrative Sciences was established, and in 1993, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration was established. In 1995, the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science was established, and in 1996, the Faculty of Medicine and Biological Sciences was established.

In 2000, the university established its first doctoral school, and in 2002, it established its second doctoral school. In 2004, the university established its third doctoral school, and in 2006, it established its fourth doctoral school.

Today, Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava is a leading university in Romania, offering a wide range of undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs in a variety of fields. The university is also home to a number of research institutes and centers, which conduct research in a variety of fields.
