Chiththa Advanced Psychological Studies Open Institute of Sri Lanka (CAPSOISL) is a non-profit higher studies open institute dedicated to providing advanced education and training in psychology.
It all started in January 2020 with the inauguration of "The Society of Chiththa Certified Psychological Counselors of Sri Lanka." This initial society, formed under the guidance of senior lecturers from the country's national universities, laid the groundwork for the future institute.
In 2021, the institute transformed into Chiththa Advanced Psychological Studies Open Institute of Ceylon (CAPSOIC). This marked a significant step forward, with the introduction of diploma and advanced national diploma level courses in various psychology specializations. Recognizing its valuable contribution to the field of psychology education, CAPSOIC was declared a recognized Higher Educational Institute for Psychological Studies by an Act of Parliament in 2022. This official recognition solidified its position as a premier institution for advanced psychology studies in Sri Lanka.
