Universities in Switzerland

Switzerland, officially known as the Swiss Confederation, is a small landlocked country located in Western Europe. It is well-known for its stunning natural landscapes, including the Swiss Alps and picturesque lakes, as well as its rich history and culture. Switzerland is a federal republic consisting of 26 cantons, each with its own constitution and government. The country is famous for its banking and finance industry, as well as its strong economy and high standard of living. Switzerland has a strong higher education system, with 12 universities and several specialized institutions of higher education. The oldest university in the country, the University of Basel, was founded in 1460. Other well-regarded universities include ETH Zurich, the University of Zurich, and the University of Geneva. International students are welcomed and encouraged to study in Switzerland, and the country ranks highly in terms of international student satisfaction.
