Mari Private University was established in 2015 in the city of Saraqib with the aim of offering higher education programs in northern Syria. Since its establishment, the university has worked to provide specialized educational programs for students to provide the community with specialists in many scientific fields due to the lack of specialized cadres as a result of the war in Syria.
