Bangkok University

Bangkok University (BU) is the oldest and largest private university in Thailand.

Bangkok University's story began in 1962. Back then, it wasn't even called a university. It started as the Bangkok Business Administration College, housed in a small building in the Kluay Nam Thai area of Bangkok. Its founders, Mr. Surat and Mrs. Amporn Osathanugrah, were driven by a mission to produce skilled personnel for Thailand's growing private sector.

Over the next two decades, the college expanded rapidly, adding new faculties and programs to meet the evolving needs of the country. In 1984, it officially achieved university status and adopted the name Bangkok University. This marked a significant milestone in its journey.

Throughout its growth, Bangkok University remained committed to fostering creativity and innovation in its students. This focus, along with its emphasis on international partnerships, helped establish its reputation as a leading educational institution in Thailand.
