Australian National University in Canberra, Australia is a public college that also goes by the name of ANU. They have over 18,000 students who are offered courses including Arts & Social Sciences, Humanities & the Arts, Middle Eastern Studies, Latin American Studies, Music, Art, Linguistics and Drama.
Established in 1946, the Australian National University was created by Australia’s parliament, and was the only college to be thus created. It was originally intended to be used for post-graduate work only, but it was combined with Canberra University College in 1960, and then began teaching undergraduate studies, as well.
