International Islamic University Chittagong

International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC) is a private university located in Chittagong, Bangladesh.

In the early 1990s, a dream flickered to life in Chittagong, Bangladesh – the vision for a university grounded in Islamic values yet embracing global academic excellence. This yearning materialized in 1992 with the formation of the Islamic University Chittagong Trust (IUCT), a non-profit organization determined to make this dream a reality.

Three years later, on February 11, 1995, the university officially rose from its conceptual foundations, receiving government approval and christened with the name Islamic University Chittagong (IUC). Within its walls, diverse disciplines, from Islamic studies and humanities to business and science, found a thriving home.

But the journey wasn't over. In 2000, the university transcended its local roots, proudly adopting the title "International Islamic University Chittagong" (IIUC). This evolution reflected its growing stature, attracting students and faculty from across the globe, while remaining steadfast in its commitment to Islamic principles.

Today, IIUC stands as a testament to the unwavering conviction of its founders and the tireless pursuit of knowledge by its faculty and students. It continues to bridge the gap between Islamic values and global education, offering a unique blend of tradition and progress, nurturing generations of scholars and citizens equipped to navigate the complexities of the modern world.
