Khulna University of Engineering and Technology

Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) is a prestigious public university in Bangladesh with a strong emphasis on engineering and technology education and research. It's considered one of the leading universities in the country.

Its journey began in 1967 as Khulna Engineering College, a budding sapling under the University of Rajshahi. Early years saw it weathering the storm of the Liberation War, but soon after independence in 1974, it blossomed into a full-fledged university under the visionary directive of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The following decades were filled with vigorous growth. New departments sprouted like branches, from Electrical & Electronic Engineering to Water Resources Engineering. The 90s brought forth the Institute of Information Technology and the Institute of Disaster Management, while the 2000s ushered in a wave of investment and diversification, with Biomedical Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering joining the fold.
